Shutterfly Christmas cards.

Don't you love this time of year? I do. I love everything about it! The smells, the sights, the sounds, remembering the birth of the Savior, all of the food, and of course the Christmas cards! I have used Shutterfly in the past to create the perfect card. They have so many to choose from. I don't feel limited in options when trying to choose the card that says, "hi there, this is the Russo family." Any person can find one to match their personality and style.
I was especially excited to send one out this year because we finally have a new addition to our cute little family! We had some great family pictures taken a few months ago and what better way to show off a baby than a Christmas card!
I love the flat, postcard type when I make mine, like the one above.
Also, I use Shutterfly for other photo projects. Recently I used a photo card for Pax's birth announcement. It turned out really cute. I've also used Shutterfly for thank you cards, and birthday gifts (think custom calendars) for several people. So, all this to say, Shutterfly has lots of fun options when it comes to not only creating the perfect Christmas card but also to finding creative gifts and ways to say, "thank you."

I am so excited that my little brother is getting married in two months! I can't believe it though, he is our little Jakey (he will kill me for saying that :) The great thing is that we absolutely LOVE his fiance, get this, her name is Rivers. Yes, you read right, Rivers. Isn't that as beautiful and unique as she is? Anyway, here a just a few engagements and the bridals are soon to come. I love you both, you are so beautiful. PS, they do smile, it was just like pulling teeth to actually get them to :)

Here a just a few from my latest wedding. It was amazing! I love Devan and Casey and we had so much fun. Devan you looked BEAUTIFUL and you are both awesome. So blogger is making me sooo mad, I have had the hardest time loading pictures lately, uggh! I LOVE this girl! She is my sister (in-law, technically). She is the most incredibly talented dancer/girl I have ever met. She dances with Center Stage in Orem, UT and I'm not being partial, she is unREAL!! She is prom queen, homecoming queen, Sr. Class VP, super smart, on and on, you name it, she can do and does do it. Oh and besides all of that, she is the sweetest, most level-headed person ever. Oh if only I could have daughters just like her...please! I love you Sarah :)

Okay, I'm not going to lie. I LOVE, no that doesn't describe the emotional I feel, but anyway...I love, love, love my lens! Tack sharp images, no worries, beautiful color, immediate AF with NO noise what-so-ever. Oh wow. ANYway, this little family was so adorable, sweet and fun. Little one is so darling! Thanks to grandma for coming and helping as well. Not to mention mom and grandma are both beautiful and I look like the biggest scrub on Saturday morning shoots! Got this baby Thursday. It's the super amazing Canon 24-70 f/2.8L. Oh my, words can't describe how fantastic this lens is! I have a session in the morning and am dying to use it! I am also going to Utah next week for 6 days full of photo shoots, SO excited! It was worth every penny...and it cost a LOT of pennies :)

I have heard a lot about Nie Nie lately and hadn't heard of her blog before. If you have not heard about Stephanie and Christian and what they have been going through, please click here to find out.
I would like to join in the effort to provide them with recovery funds and donate a photo shoot.

I will be auctioning off a 1-2 hour photo shoot that will include a CD of all high-res files and an 8x10 as well. Bidding will begin at $100 (to try and get them the most mulah we can).

This sweet couple was celebrated 50 years of marriage and scheduled family pictures since all of their children would be in town. What a wonderful family, so cooperative and organized, sweet and funny too! We took TONS of pictures and were done in less than an hour, that is how organized they were. This is one of my best friends and her family. She is a photographer too so we all got together yesterday at the train depot and had some fun (well, I had fun, she had more of a challenge because my son was not happy!) I found this really great little antique shop that is full of old, beautiful junk. I bought 2 awesome chairs and a super cool little stool. This is a blue chair and he just so happened to be wearing something that went just smashingly with it. My disclaimer for this picture not being my best is that it was FREEZING and he was not a happy kid, mean mommy! (Notice his hands up under his shirt :)

Hi to all of you that have responded to my move in special. I am excited to be living in the Treasure Valley area and am pleased to offer this special to potential new clients! The special is a photo shoot of your choice for $150.00. The special applies to any sort of shoot with the exception of weddings or bridals (these just take much more time and special attention :) It can be families (individual), children, newborn, maternity, seniors, just about anything you can think of! They can be outdoors at a location of your choice, in your home or in my home studio. Most sittings last 45-60 minutes. Large groups/families will be and additional $50 per individual family/group.

Once we have scheduled your sitting I will then email you (or send you) information about what to expect, what to wear, details. Payment is due at time of service. I will then burn all images to a high resolution CD/DVD and send them to you via mail. You can expect your images within 1-2 weeks. If you would like me to have images printed for you I can do so and please click my investment link for a la carte pricing. I would also love to do any editing and re-touching of your images at an additional cost, please inquire after your session.

All of my work is done with professional equipment that allows you to blow your images up as large as you could ever want.

Hi everyone! Well, since we move so often it has been hard for me to stay busy with my business. I haven't had one minute in the two weeks that we have been in Boise to start advertising. I shot my first wedding on Saturday. Let's just talk about how stressful they are first of all. I wasn't nervous at all because I am confident in my skills as a photographer but there were 72 weddings at the Salt Lake City Temple that day and it was jam packed with brides, mothers of brides and crazy (some downright rude) photographers! We had to basically fight for the good places to take pictures and some people are just plain rude! There is an unwritten rule that you have 20 minutes on the steps of the temple (there are 4 sets of them but it was far to sunny to use the East side). So anyway, we had to wait in a big line that wrapped around the temple, to get our turn on the steps. When we were up I had my trusty assistant Stephen set his watch for 20 minutes exactly and you wouldn't believe how many times people complained and walked in front of us. Finally the bride and I got really vocal and kept everyone at bay until we were done. After all the drama of the day, the pictures and the bride were beautiful and we had a great time. Good thing because I have 2 more weddings this summer! I also shot bridal's for Kim and Jeff while I was in Utah and that was so much fun! We had a blast on ski lifts and abondoned rail road cars, it was awesome! I will put some pictures of the occassions up soon. Our trip was great, I get really sad when we have to come back here though. As much as I like it, it is not home to me but that's okay. It was just great to see everyone.

We had so much fun last night doing these pictures. Kaden is the most well natured little guy ever so we got tons of great shots. I love you guys, thanks so much!!

I just thought I should write a little to catch up on life. I like to just add new pictures here but I should really let everyone know what's up with us. We are actually leaving for Utah again tomorrow. I am shooting a wedding on Saturday and also have a few other shoots to do as well. We are still getting used to life here but it's getting easier and it is now our home. I can't get used to the fact that I have to drive like 15 just to get to Walmart and there are no good stores to shop at, at all! There are great little boutiques down on main in Durango but they are so expensive! So I just wait until we go to Utah and hit Nordstrom, Gap and Old Navy. I need to go to SLC and hit Urban Outfitters now that they have one. Anyway, we are doing a photo shoot in about 30 minutes so we are going to get some cheese sticks!
